There are only 22 LEED certified projects in Mexico, according to the Green Building Certification Institute Directory. Of these projects, only 15 are either for New Construction or Core & Shell. From these 15 only 5 are certified under the latest version (2009). These 5 projects include 1 that achieved certified level (basic), 2 achieved Silver level and 2 that have achieved Gold Certification Level.

  • Complying with ASHRAE 62.1-2007 for the ventilation rates and systems. Increasing by 30% the minimum requested and monitoring CO2 concentrations in densely occupied spaces.
  • Controlling pollutants in the construction by applying and Indoor Air Quality Management Plan.
  • Maintaining Volatile Organic Compound Levels under the maximum allowed, for all adhesives, sealants, paintings and coatings used in the interior of the building.
